Sharing the Dream in Qatar

To be at a FIFA World Cup from start to finish has been a dream since childhood. Follow me on the social media links at the bottom of this page to see how I’m endeavouring to share the dream (however fleetingly). Qatar 2022 presents moral concerns regarding basic human rights, including a lack of inclusivity and the treatment of migrant workers. I felt so blessed to be at a World Cup, when I prayed for inspiration as to how I could help share the blessings the answer that came to me was too easy not to do. As a wheelchair user, I get a free ‘companion’ ticket for each match - so I’ve invited various migrant workers to come along to games with me (some are pictured above, among other wonderful people I’ve met in my first week in Qatar). To find out more about their stories - including an eye-opening interview with a migrant worker - stay tuned.
